The venture capital firm QAI Ventures has officially announced the launch of a unique initiative that has become the first quantum accelerator in the history of Singapore. This five-month program, named the Singapore Quantum Accelerator, was implemented with the active and comprehensive support of the government agency Enterprise Singapore. The organizers received tremendous interest from the international innovation community: the project received 63 applications from teams from twelve different countries around the world. As a result of a strict selection process, only the four most promising startups passed, focusing on developing advanced quantum and related DeepTech solutions aimed at the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific market. This program is closely integrated with the national quantum strategy of the country, emphasizing the strategic importance of developing this technological direction for the city-state's economy.

The first cohort of accelerator residents includes four diverse companies representing different countries and specializations. The Dutch team Quantum Logic develops cryogenic equipment for quantum systems, the Armenian startup Qualia Therapeutics focuses on adaptive neurostimulation, the American team QPICs specializes in manufacturing advanced photonic chips, and the Indonesian company Regenesis Materials works on creating new generation sustainable materials. Each of the four program participants will receive a direct investment package of three hundred thousand Singapore dollars, equivalent to approximately two hundred thirty-two thousand US dollars. In addition to substantial financial injection, startups will be provided with access to advanced quantum infrastructure, cloud computing resources, as well as organized individual mentoring and masterclasses from leading industry experts for interaction with major corporate partners.

The project management emphasizes that Singapore made a conscious and strategically sound bet on quantum technologies at the early stages of their development, and now this solid foundation is beginning to transform into real commercial opportunities. In parallel, the city-state continues to actively build its technological potential: at the end of last year, Horizon Quantum commissioned the first commercial quantum computer, and in June of this year, the powerful ASPIRE 2B supercomputer was officially launched to support large-scale research in artificial intelligence. Enterprise Singapore also presented a comprehensive roadmap where AI and quantum technologies are defined as key standardization directions, and formalized cooperation with international partners through a series of important memoranda covering a wide range of innovative and environmental projects.
