Google has updated the tool for the Opal web coder

Google Corporation has released an upgrade to its Opal service, which is designed for Vaib coding and includes support for automated work scripts. Now, users can use text-based instructions to build small apps that set up logic and task sequences on their own. The language model Gemini 3 Flash is responsible for selecting the necessary tools and defining the behavior.

The agent can integrate with Google Sheets to save data between sessions, use web search to gather information, or use a Veo model to generate video content. The assistant is interactive: if he lacks data, he asks the user for clarification or offers his options to continue.

Opal was first introduced in July 2025 as a codefree mini-app creation tool, and in December its web version appeared in Gemini.
