Grayscale: Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain are potential beneficiaries of the SEC’s new rules

The investment company Grayscale believes that the regulatory regime for crypto assets proposed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission could create conditions for the resumption of token sales in the country and increase demand for blockchain infrastructure. According to the company’s experts, Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain networks, which already play an important role in the tokenization of assets and the development of on‑chain finance, may be among the potential beneficiaries of this process. This concerns the regulator’s proposal regarding a new regime that considers mechanisms allowing certain crypto projects to raise capital through tokens under simplified rules, while simultaneously establishing requirements for information disclosure and investor protection.
Grayscale views this regulation more broadly than just a new initiative. The company believes that the proposed approach could lay the foundation for raising capital through tokens within the US jurisdiction. This scenario potentially changes the situation for crypto projects that in recent years have been forced to use venture financing, structures outside the US, or restrict access for US investors due to uncertainty regarding the status of tokens. If clear rules emerge, token sales could become another way to finance blockchain projects, alongside traditional venture capital, and an increase in the number of such offerings will mean additional demand for the networks in which the tokens will be issued and traded.
It is here that Grayscale highlights Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain, which are already among the main platforms for tokenized assets. In its review, the company notes that current tokenization activity is largely focused on these blockchains, and further growth of the segment could create additional value for the networks processing such transactions. It should be recalled that in July, the volume of tokenized assets on the BNB Chain set a record at nineteen billion dollars. Grayscale’s position regarding Ethereum and Solana is not limited to token sales alone. The company has also drawn attention to the role of these networks in developing infrastructure for artificial intelligence, viewing them primarily as a base for the agent economy. Furthermore, Grayscale predicts that Ethereum and Solana may become more scarce due to changes in their tokenomics, which will allow both networks to benefit from the growth of on‑chain activity and a potential reduction in the issuance of native assets.
