The National Statistical Committee published the results of a sample survey on living standards, showing a significant increase in household financial capacity by the end of 2025.
Average monthly disposable resources — cash income minus taxes plus in-kind receipts — reached 2946.2 Belarusian rubles per household. The urban-rural gap persists: 3073.7 Belarusian rubles are available in cities and urban-type settlements, while only 2534.3 Belarusian rubles are available in rural areas.
Cash expenditures were slightly lower than income — 2836.5 Belarusian rubles per month, of which 69.2% was spent on everyday consumption. The spending structure is balanced: food accounted for 37.5% of the budget, non-food items for 37%, and services for 23.3%. However, a positive balance is emerging, as resources exceed expenditures by 109.7 Belarusian rubles. This indicator signals potential for savings or investment, especially in cities.
