There is a steady upward trend in the personal computer market, which analysts attribute to unprecedented demand from the artificial intelligence industry. Insider sources predict a further increase in the cost of video cards by an average of 20 percent in the near future. Production facilities that were previously focused on the consumer segment are being massively redesigned for the needs of server solutions and data centers. This supply imbalance has already triggered a wave of price increases for related components, including RAM modules, NAND drives, and power supplies, as evidenced by recent notifications from manufacturers such as Great Wall about price list revisions.

The strategic vector of key semiconductor manufacturers has undergone fundamental changes. In recent financial statements, Nvidia has stopped highlighting gaming as a separate revenue line, as its share has decreased to about 5 percent of total revenue. The marginality of consumer GPUs is significantly lower than that of enterprise and server solutions, which makes the gaming segment a secondary priority for vendors. Under these conditions, traditional methods of consumer influence, such as deferred demand or "wallet voting," are losing their effectiveness, as manufacturers do not depend on retail sales to maintain financial stability.

The current market situation forces end users to radically reconsider their approaches to computer technology modernization. Video cards, which have historically been subject to rapid depreciation, are beginning to demonstrate the properties of investment assets, maintaining or even increasing their value in the secondary market. For a significant part of enthusiasts and gamers, updating hardware becomes economically impractical, which leads to extending the life cycle of existing systems or switching to less demanding software products. Experts believe that without a significant increase in production capacity or a change in vendor priorities, the current price imbalance in the PC market will persist in the medium term.
