In the week ending August 5, 2026, a net capital outflow of $3.58 million was recorded from spot exchange-traded investment funds (ETFs) linked to the XRP cryptocurrency. According to the SoSoValue analytical platform, this was the first case of withdrawal of funds from this segment in the last month. The Bitwise XRP ETF fund turned out to be the only product in this category that has shown negative dynamics since July 8. The rest of the American spot ETFs for XRP on the specified day did not record any inflow or outflow of funds. However, as early as August 6, demand for these instruments recovered, providing an influx of $3.45 million.
Despite the short-term correction, cumulative net inflows into XRP spot ETFs since their launch totaled $1.51 billion, and total assets under management (AUM) reached $964 million. The Bitwise XRP ETF fund remains the leader in total capital inflows with an indicator of $ 507.33 million. Canary Capital's XRPC fund is in second place with $468.12 million, and Franklin Templeton's XRPZ fund closes the top three with $425.97 million. Against the background of the situation with XRP, spot ETFs for bitcoin and ether continued to attract capital. On August 5, bitcoin funds recorded a net inflow of $244.42 million. The market leader is BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust fund, which has a cumulative net inflow of $60.96 billion. Capital inflows were also shown by ARKB funds (ARK Invest and 21Shares) with $37.6 million, Fidelity FBTC ($11.2 million), Bitwise Bitcoin ETF ($10.5 million) and Morgan Stanley ETF ($2.79 million). The only fund with a noticeable outflow was the VanEck Bitcoin ETF, which lost $14.67 million.
Spot exchange-traded funds for ether also showed positive momentum, recording a net inflow of $60.86 million for the second day in a row. The main beneficiaries were BlackRock's products: the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) raised $50.34 million, and the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust (ETHB) raised $4.94 million. Additional funds were allocated to the Fidelity Ethereum ETF ($2.87 million) and Bitwise Ethereum ETF ($1.37 million). This activity is taking place against the background of the growing interest of traditional financial institutions in digital assets. Earlier in May, the American bank Wells Fargo disclosed information about its investments in ETFs for bitcoin and ether, and the largest Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo also announced its investments in cryptocurrency funds.
