The Prometheus Startup, founded by Jeff Bezos and Vick Bajaj, raised $12 billion in the Series B round, reaching a valuation of $41 billion. Investors include JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, DST Global and other major funds. The company is developing a "universal AI engineer" - a system capable of dramatically accelerating the design and market deployment of physical objects, from jet engines to medical electronics.
According to Besos, the traditional cycle of modernization of complex equipment can take years due to production difficulties. Prometheus intends to shorten this path by 10 times or more, allowing a team of 10 engineers to complete a year’s work that previously took 100 professionals and a decade. The start-up focuses on early production - design, simulation and prototyping, using data from physics laws, its own tests, and partnerships with industrial companies.
A key challenge is the absence in the industry of an analogous "Internet of Data" suitable for directly learning models, so Prometheus combines physical laws with empirical data. Much of the money raised will go towards purchasing computing capacity. This is the second round for the startup, which had already raised $6.2 billion at the end of 2025, continuing its race to bring AI into the real economy.
