Strive Acquired 1,110 Bitcoin for $81.5 Million in August 2026

American investment company Strive, founded by entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, continued expanding its digital asset portfolio. Between August 17 and August 21, 2026, the firm acquired 1,110 Bitcoin (BTC) for a total of approximately $81.5 million. According to internal corporate filings, the average acquisition price of the asset, including transaction fees and related operational expenses, was $73,409 per coin. As a result of this transaction, the company's total Bitcoin reserves reached 21,356 BTC.

Over the reporting week, Strive's treasury cryptocurrency holdings increased by 5.5%, rising from 20,246 to 21,356 coins. Meanwhile, the key metric reflecting the number of Bitcoin per fully diluted share grew by only approximately 1.4%. This dynamic is a direct consequence of the concurrent additional share issuance initiated to fund the corporate treasury strategy. The company raised the necessary capital through an At-The-Market (ATM) offering mechanism, which allows the issuer to sell new shares at prevailing market prices without needing to fix a single offering price in advance.

During the specified period, the total number of Class A common shares increased by 3.6 million units, or 4.8%, reaching a volume approaching 80 million shares. Additionally, the corporation issued 441,313 perpetual Series SATA preferred shares, which led to a 5.6% increase in the total volume of this share class, bringing it to more than 8.27 million. Financial documentation confirms that throughout this period, SATA shares traded at or above their par value of $100. This market condition allowed the company to conduct the issuance without applying a discount below the established par value.

Despite the significant capital outflow directed toward acquiring digital assets, the organization's liquidity metrics remained at a high level. As of August 21, 2026, Strive held $171.9 million in cash and cash equivalents, exceeding the prior week's figure of $154.8 million. At current market prices, the total portfolio of 21,356 Bitcoin is valued at approximately $1.7 billion. It should be noted that this transaction is fully consistent with the company's previously stated long-term corporate strategy. In May 2025, Strive publicly announced its intention to allocate $750 million to launch a dedicated Bitcoin strategy. Later that same year, the company announced plans to issue shares worth up to $500 million, stating that a portion of the proceeds would be directed toward further expansion of its cryptocurrency portfolio.
