The price of the Midnight token (NIGHT) has risen by more than 22% in a day to $0.044, with a weekly increase of about 84%. Jaime Rogozinski, founder of WallStreetBets, stated that institutions need privacy when moving large sums of capital on the blockchain. The Midnight infrastructure is supported by Google Cloud, and Monument Bank is testing tokenized deposits on the network. The market capitalization of NIGHT is around $727 million, with trading volume exceeding $120 million.
Rogozinski pointed out the transparency of public blockchains: on such networks, balances, transaction links, and trading activity are disclosed. Midnight is built on selective disclosure, where some data remains private while others are verified as needed. This is a market perspective, not an indication of NIGHT purchases by institutions. Google Cloud has connected with a federated node and the Mandiant division, as well as Worldpay, Bullish, MoneyGram, eToro, and AlphaTON Capital. Monument Bank plans to reflect interest retail deposits on Midnight at £250 million while maintaining banking guarantees; the bank manages about £7 billion.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson suggested that Midnight could eventually surpass Zcash. He listed selective disclosure, private agents, zero-knowledge proofs, trusted execution environments, and multiparty computation. This is a forecast, not a claim of superiority. The market capitalization of NIGHT is still below that of Zcash. NIGHT is trading around $0.0442 after a peak of $0.0447, above the September range of 0.025-0.030. The upper Bollinger Band is around $0.03806, indicating an extended movement. The MACD is bullish: the line is at 0.00403 against the signal line at 0.00211. The nearest resistance is at $0.045, with support at $0.038 on a pullback, and deeper support in the 0.030-0.033 range.
