Accredited mining companies have mined more than seven thousand bitcoins in Kazakhstan. This indicator covers the period from the beginning of the year two thousand twenty-three. The largest volume of digital coins mined occurred in the twenty-fourth year. In the first five months of this year, the miners received another five hundred coins. The Ministry of Digital Development has officially confirmed these industry statistics. Seventy-eight specialized subjects are currently actively operating in the country. Thirty-five companies own their own modern data centers. Other organizations place their computing equipment on third-party sites. More than four hundred and sixty thousand devices have been entered into the special state register. The country's budget received about thirty-five billion tenge in tax payments. A significant part of the deductions was generated by the value added tax. This tax was paid by the company upon the official import of specialized equipment.
Astana has become the absolute leader in terms of the volume of mining services provided. This city accounted for an impressive share of all industry activity. This result is explained by the special economic status of the Kazakh capital. A large international financial center and crypto exchanges are successfully operating here. Companies provide their own data centers in almost every region. However, the largest cities still hold the main market positions. Alma Ata and Astana jointly control more than seventy percent of the services. The developed infrastructure attracts the attention of major international technology investors. The government continues to actively improve the regulatory framework for this industry. Officials are striving to make energy consumption more efficient and transparent.
New rules have been in effect in the country since the first of August. The government offers existing miners the status of strategic miners. Companies will receive a stable supply of electricity directly from specialized energy sources. In return, the business will have to give ten percent of the mined cryptocurrency to the state. In early July, the authorities also legalized associated gas mining. Cryptocurrency mining was allowed directly in the oil and gas fields. The miners will use electricity from the generated associated gas. Rational use of energy resources should stimulate additional regional investments. The digital mining industry continues to integrate confidently into the national economy.
