Netflix has entered into a new agreement with the Russian studio Animaccord, expanding the rights package for the series "Masha and the Bear". The Streaming service has extended its license for the first 7 seasons and spin-offs of "Fantasy Machines" and "Mashkina Horror", and also received exclusive rights to show two new seasons. In the new episodes, viewers will see Masha at the kindergarten and meet the Yeti family as part of a winter story.
The deal covers more than 100 countries, including India, Japan, Korea, France, the Nordic countries, the Middle East, Latin America, the US and Canada. Netflix’s interest in the series is due to its huge popularity: the YouTube channel has more than 55 million subscribers, and the total number of views is estimated at billions. By popularity, "Masha and the Bear" is in line with such franchises as Cocomelon, "Pippa’s Pig," and "The Puppy Patrol."
