On September 28, 2026, Breez announced a new feature for its SDK: users with Bitcoin balances will be able to accept payments in stablecoins from over 30 networks, including Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Tron. Now, USDC or USDT can be received without the need to integrate new chains.
The SDK is a tool for developers that allows applications to add Bitcoin payments without building their own infrastructure. It handles wallet creation, sending and receiving funds, as well as payments on the Lightning network. When receiving a payment, the recipient selects the sender's network and amount, the SDK generates a deposit address and shows what will come, while the sender pays from their regular wallet. Conversion occurs in the background through Flashnet, and funds are deposited into the recipient's non-custodial wallet as Bitcoin or dollars if the stable balance feature is used.
The ability to send USDT and USDC was introduced in June – now a single balance on Breez can move stablecoins in both directions across almost any network. This is a continuation of a series of usability improvements following the introduction of passkey access, instant Cash App connection, and stable balance. Breez consistently brings Bitcoin applications closer to traditional fintech services: access without secret phrases, quick connections, dollar balances, and now cross-chain payments in stablecoins. The Glow app, released in August, serves as a benchmark example of the SDK's capabilities.
