The CEO of the crypto exchange Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, has stated that Bitcoin probably has already formed a local bottom close to $60,000, although it is impossible to confirm this now. In doing so, the head of the exchange maintains long-term optimism, calling the first cryptocurrency "the new digital gold" and an important component of the world economy. Armstrong emphasized that it does not plan to change its investment strategy and continues to hold Bitcoin with a view to significant growth by 2030.

Armstrong’s statements elicited mixed reactions on social media. While some users supported his prediction, others criticized him: some called on the head of Coinbase to confirm words with actions, hinting at their selling shares in the company, and questioned the reliability of the technical analysis that underlies the assumption about bottom formation. Earlier, in September 2025, Armstrong had already made three arguments for Bitcoin’s rise to $1 million by the end of the decade.
