NVIDIA's flagship graphics accelerator based on the Blackwell architecture now officially costs sixteen thousand dollars. The RTX PRO 6000 professional graphics card has reached its highest price since its launch on the market. Just two months ago, this device was selling for more than thirteen thousand dollars. Memory shortages and the associated price increases continue to put pressure on both the gaming and professional segments of personal computers. The new model is a specialized version aimed at professional users. The card offers extensive capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence and remains the only accelerator with a memory capacity of ninety-six gigabytes. Its computing core is noticeably more powerful than what is installed in the fastest NVIDIA RTX 5090 gaming card.

The large amount of memory makes the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell an attractive product for AI developers and workstation owners. However, the configuration for ninety-six gigabytes of GDDR7 memory is very expensive for customers. Due to the ongoing shortage in the memory segment, prices for premium DRAM modules are steadily increasing. Gaming cards like the RTX 5090 with thirty-two gigabytes have already crossed the threshold of twice the recommended price. Such accelerators are now sold for almost four and a half thousand dollars against the initial two thousand. The increase in the cost of the professional version was quite expected, because its memory capacity is three times larger. The rise in price occurred gradually and for a long time did not reach a twofold increase, as in the game model. Now the situation has changed, and the card is confidently approaching twice the recommended price.

According to the latest price list, the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell is officially priced at sixteen thousand dollars. This is not about a retail announcement, but about the official listing of NVIDIA itself. This information is also supported by data from PNY, the main partner in professional accelerators. The market situation is not easy, and ordinary consumer cards have also suffered greatly from the crisis. Earlier it was reported about a significant increase in the price of AMD Radeon RX 9000 accelerators, and NVIDIA RTX 50 series cards are growing in price at a rapid pace. Experts had previously warned about the formation of a new price norm for graphics processors. It seems that this forecast has already become a reality for all buyers. Market participants will have to put up with high prices for many more years.
