The OpenAI development team has officially introduced the Presence platform, designed for deep integration of autonomous artificial intelligence systems into corporate workflows. This tool allows organizations to create specialized virtual assistants optimized for both customer interaction and complex internal operational tasks. Unlike traditional dialog systems, the new agents are able to securely interact with the company's internal databases, perform pre-approved actions in corporate information systems, and, if necessary, correctly transmit the dialogue to the human operator. The architecture of the solution combines advanced language models with reliable control systems and strict information security rules, which ensures a high level of protection of confidential corporate data.
The developers have identified several fundamental functions of the new platform, among which the principle of minimum privileges in access control occupies a key place. The AI agent receives only the data and rights that are strictly necessary to perform a specific task, such as processing insurance claims or making refunds. Additionally, the system is equipped with an automatic improvement mechanism: the built-in Codex tool continuously analyzes gaps in dialog scenarios and offers optimal updates for algorithms. The platform also supports multimodality, ensuring smooth operation in both text chats and voice channels in real time. According to internal data from OpenAI, the introduction of Presence into its own English-language telephone support service allowed artificial intelligence to independently resolve 75 percent of incoming requests, and the use of Codex reduced the frequency of switching calls per person by 15 percent in just ten days of operation.
At the initial stage of launch, the product is available to a limited number of corporate customers, and the implementation process is supervised by OpenAI engineers together with certified partners. Major international organizations, including the BBVA financial group, the SoftBank telecommunications corporation and the IAG insurance company, are already among the first testers of the technology. These enterprises use the platform to automate routine banking operations and provide high-quality customer support during peak periods. In parallel with the development of the corporate segment, according to relevant publications, the company is exploring the possibilities of entering the consumer electronics market, planning to introduce a smart home speaker that functions as a personal AI companion, which indicates a large-scale strategy for the expansion of artificial intelligence technologies into various areas of daily life and business.
