OpenAI intends to allocate about $600 billion in computing resources between now and 2030. Reuters was informed by a source familiar with the company’s plans.

The investment program is being formed in preparation for an initial public offering, where the AI developer’s valuation could reach $1 trillion. According to the source, OpenAI’s revenue for 2025 was $13 billion, exceeding the forecast by $10 billion, while spending was lower than planned - $8 billion instead of $9 billion.

By 2030, the company expects to generate more than $280 billion in total revenue, distributed roughly equally between consumer and corporate sectors. At the same time, Nvidia is nearing completion of its $30 billion investment in OpenAI in a round of funding that has attracted more than $100 billion. The deal, led by Sam Altman, will cost the company about $830 billion and will be one of the largest private capital draws in history.
