The company OpenAI has announced an initiative to enhance the safety of minors in the context of growing AI influence.

The Plan is based on three key areas: updating legislation to combat child exploitation through the use of neuronetworks, improving reporting mechanisms to speed up investigations, and incorporating safeguards directly into AI systems architecture as early as the development phase.

The OpenAI emphasized that only a combination of legal, operational and technical measures could solve the problem. Such an approach, the company believes, would enable early threat detection, ensure accountability, and maintain necessary powers for law enforcement. The plan took into account the recommendations of leading US experts, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
