Startup Perplexity increased revenue by 50% in a month, accelerating the shift from search services to AI agents, according to the Financial Times. In March, the company’s annual regular revenue exceeded $450 million, thanks to the launch of a new agent tool and the introduction of monthly pricing. The industry is actively experimenting with pricing models to cover the growing costs of operating such systems.
