Kalshi Platform Signs Exclusive Agreement with the United States Tennis Association

Kalshi platform has signed an exclusive agreement with the United States Tennis Association. The company became the sole prediction markets partner of the Open Championship. The main draw of the US Open began on August 30. The tournament is held at Flushing Meadows in New York. The deal was reported by Front Office Sports. Journalists cited two sources familiar with the matter. The partnership has already taken legal effect. The parties finalized the agreement after the tournament's qualifying rounds concluded. The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed to the general public.

Initially, the USTA had planned to consider a partnership no earlier than 2027. Those plans changed following the appointment of new leadership. Craig Tiley took over as head of the association on July 20. He played a key role in accelerating the deal. The CEO helped finalize the agreement in time for the 2026 tournament. One of the main conditions was Kalshi's exclusive status. The USTA prohibited other platforms from advertising on tournament grounds. The restriction applies during televised broadcasts of the competition. The ban extends even to coverage on the sports channel ESPN.

Kalshi is not yet listed among the official partners of the championship. The company has also not publicly announced the agreement. A special disclaimer was included in the August 30 press release. The document stated that there was no connection between Kalshi and the US Open. A similar statement applied to the Women's Tennis Association. The partnership significantly expands the platform's presence in the sports industry. The company offers contracts on the outcomes of future events. Kalshi is actively developing its sports business segment.

The agreement creates a new commercial channel for the USTA. The association gains additional revenue from a major tournament. Kalshi gains exclusive access to the competition's advertising audience. The platform limits the presence of direct competitors in the market. This strategic partnership is mutually beneficial for both parties.
