The Quant (QNT) exchange rate is under pressure, remaining near the $195 level. The drop from almost $300 at the end of September has caused Quant to lose most of its recent recoveries. Current buyers are trying to maintain the support zone in the range of 191-195. However, each subsequent rebound stops without breaking the descending trend line, which indicates the willingness of many sellers to sell at the bottom.
If Quant holds above $191, it may create enough stability for buyers to test the psychological resistance level of $200. A successful test at $200 should provide the momentum needed to overcome the horizontal resistance above $220. However, a close below $191 could trigger further sell-offs, leading to lower and lower investor confidence in a rapid recovery.
The QNT recovery faces the problem of a lack of volumes. After a surge in activity in September, open interest (OI) has stabilized at between $100 and $104 million; daily spot volume is in the range of 28-55 million. At the time of publication, spot volume dropped by 21% to $55.89 million. A decrease in fresh trading volumes indicates a decrease in the number of buyers, which can make any short-term rebounds unstable.
Although financing rates are slightly above the normal level, this is a sign that many investors continue to open long positions without excessive leverage. The next testing level is 206-215, and a stronger buying force will be needed to overcome this QNT resistance. If this is successful, a breakout with volume support will allow us to reach the level of $220.20 and the range of 252-258, while weak demand may delay the recovery process.
The increasing dominance of bitcoin is also putting pressure on QNT. BTC's dominance has exceeded 60%, and only 40-52% of altcoins are above their 200-day moving average. With the decrease in market participation, QNT is under increased selling pressure, especially against the background of recent losses in value. If the $191 support is breached, QNT is likely to drop to 180-182 before buyers can try to regain control again. A deeper drop could lead to previous levels at around $145, consolidating the risks of a QNT decline beyond the current price structure. If demand for altcoins does not improve, the weakening of market latitude could undermine recovery attempts and prolong the correction.
