The British company Quantum Motion, together with NVIDIA, has introduced an innovative method for producing quantum states to model molecules. Traditionally, this stage takes up more computing resources than the calculations themselves, which inhibits the introduction of quantum computers into chemistry and materials science. The innovators' key idea is to use classical artificial intelligence for pre-processing data, which significantly reduces the load on quantum processors and minimizes the number of required quantum operations.

Developers have already discovered the source code of their GPU-accelerated package and released detailed instructions for working with the NVIDIA CUDA-Q platform. This hybrid approach reflects an emerging trend in the industry: instead of expecting to create flawless quantum machines, companies are integrating AI and classical computing for applications.

Such a breakthrough is crucial for science and industry, because precise molecular modeling is essential to develop new drugs, effective fertilizers, and advanced batteries. Eliminating the fundamental "bottleneck" in the form of complex state preparation brings the era of quantum technology applications in real chemical calculations much closer.
