Ripple Continues to Attract Institutional Investors' Attention and Develop XRP

Ripple continues to attract significant interest from institutional investors in its XRP token against the backdrop of recent market events and progress in ETF approvals. Investments in XRP ETFs continue to surpass outflows: over the past eight weeks, there has been an increase in assets, with total net inflows amounting to $1.7 billion.

Among the companies offering such products are Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Canary Capital, 21Shares, and Grayscale. According to a report by BankXRP, T. Rowe Price has updated its application for a crypto ETF, which will allow access to several digital assets. XRP's weight in it is 9.15%, exceeding that of Solana (8.73%), Hyperliquid (4.94%), and Canton Network (1.60%). Bitcoin remains in first place with a weight of 39.54%, followed by Ethereum (18.86%). Additionally, Exchange Listed Funds Trust has submitted an application to the SEC to create the "CYBER HORNER S&P 500® and XRP 75/25 Strategy ETF," which will allow investors to access the stock market and XRP in a 75/25 ratio.

Ripple officially introduced the dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD in December 2024. Earlier in the summer, it received approval from the Japan Financial Services Agency (JFSA) for launch in the country, and then the company reported that last year it allocated $25 million in RLUSD to support American small businesses and programs for veterans. Over the years, the stablecoin has gained support from numerous exchanges and banking institutions, including the oldest American bank, BNY Mellon. In July, Ripple Mint expanded access to RLUSD beyond traditional platform processes, allowing institutions to manage it through a user interface or software integrations. The capitalization of RLUSD has grown to nearly $2.5 billion, making it the 42nd largest cryptocurrency and the 9th largest stablecoin. The leader in this segment remains USDT with a capitalization of over $183 billion, followed by USDC from Circle (around $74 billion).
