Samsung Electronics has officially announced the creation of a specialized robotics division. The new structure, called Robotics eXperience, will report directly to the company's CEO. This decision reflects the corporation's strategic commitment to making robotics a new key growth driver. Executive Vice President Li Dongchun has been appointed to lead the strategy development team. Previously, he successfully supervised similar areas at Hyundai Motor Group and led the well-known company Boston Dynamics. The division will assume responsibility for medium- and long-term planning, as well as for the development of key technologies.

Samsung plans to open new research centers to strengthen its global competitiveness. These laboratories will appear in the USA, China and Japan, where robotics is developing most dynamically. This step will allow the company to effectively use local ecosystems and attract leading regional experts. This decision logically continues the corporation's earlier initiatives in this promising area. Back in January, the management announced its intention to achieve tangible commercial results in the humanoid robot business. In April, the company also confirmed its willingness to consider strategic investments and acquisitions to accelerate development.

Samsung notes that rapid advances in the field of physical artificial intelligence make this business extremely promising. The company plans to actively develop humanoid robots to significantly increase production efficiency. Initially, these solutions will be implemented at the corporation's own production facilities. In the future, the technology is planned to be adapted for use in the household and retail sector. This diversification will allow Samsung not only to improve the user experience, but also to reliably strengthen its position in the global technology market.
