Samsung has introduced its latest Odyssey and ViewFinity monitor lineup, led by the 32-inch Odyssey G8 G80HS. The company describes it as the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, targeting users who want high resolution, expanded screen space and flexible performance modes in one display.

The Odyssey G8 G80HS uses an IPS panel with 224 PPI and supports 6K resolution at up to 165Hz. For competitive scenarios, Samsung adds Dual Mode, allowing the monitor to switch to 3K and reach up to 330Hz. That gives users a choice between maximum visual clarity and faster responsiveness.

The lineup also includes the 27-inch Odyssey G8 G80HF, which supports 5K at 180Hz or QHD at up to 360Hz. Samsung is also expanding its OLED gaming range with the Odyssey OLED G8, offering 4K, 240Hz, Glare Free technology, USB-C charging up to 98W and QD-OLED Penta Tandem. The Odyssey OLED G7 brings 4K at 165Hz with a 0.03ms response time.

For professional workflows, Samsung added the ViewFinity S8 series. The 40-inch model features a curved WUHD display, 144Hz refresh rate and Thunderbolt 5 with charging up to 140W, while the 27-inch version offers 5K resolution and USB-C. The launch shows Samsung trying to cover several premium segments at once — from high-end gaming to creator-focused productivity.
