Scroll transitions from public network to private infrastructure for AI

The team behind the blockchain project Scroll has announced the transformation of the network from a public general-purpose platform to a private infrastructure focused on AI products. According to the developers' vision, the new direction will create an ecosystem for interaction between AI agents and credentials, corporate information, payments, private workflows, and computational resources. The transition will be carried out gradually over nine months, while the team is still clarifying the details of the operational model and the specific migration plan.

In recent months, Scroll has made AI a priority in development and operations. The company has developed an ecosystem of several products: Compass (an iOS app with access to language models, VPN, and eSIM), Compass API (infrastructure for routing AI requests supporting over 30 LLM models), CENO (a product for protecting credentials and private computational operations using ZK proofs), USX (a system for payments and settlements in the stack), and Scroll Network (a layer of trust and coordination). According to Scroll, work that previously required over 20 engineers in key blockchain operations is now performed by significantly fewer specialists with the support of AI agents. CENO is already attracting market interest: the product has attracted over 30 potential clients, 12 of whom are participating in concept testing.

The SCR token will be transferred to the main Ethereum network without changing the total supply and tokenomics, maintaining its function as a governance token for the Scroll network. The team emphasized that the published update is informational and is not an official proposal or vote. The decision to transition and issues requiring community approval will be presented separately after all details are finalized. Meanwhile, Scroll is developing content and distribution on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn.
