South Korea's Largest Crypto Exchange Announces Asset Delistings in November

Upbit, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea by trading volume and number of users, announced the delisting of Zilliqa (ZIL) and Sophon (SOPH). Trading support will cease on November 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM KST.

The decision regarding ZIL was made following a security incident with the Zilliqa Ledger application in July 2026. On July 22, Upbit added ZIL to the watchlist, conducted further analysis, and concluded that the reasons for the designation had not been resolved. Trading pairs ZIL/KRW and ZIL/BTC will be halted. For SOPH, support for SOPH/KRW, SOPH/BTC, and SOPH/USDT pairs will be discontinued.

Separately, Hive Dollar (HBD/BTC) and District0x (DNT/BTC) have been moved to the watchlist: deposits are temporarily suspended, tokens have received an investment warning, and delisting is possible after further review. The observation period for MANTRA (MANTRA/KRW, MANTRA/BTC, MANTRA/USDT) has been extended from November 9 to 13, 2026.

Meanwhile, XRP continues to dominate trading volume on Upbit, surpassing Bitcoin and Ether. According to CoinMarketCap, over the past 24 hours, the XRP/KRW pair was the most traded on Upbit with a turnover of approximately $87.12 million compared to Bitcoin's $74.69 million and Ether's $56.33 million. Korea has long remained one of the most active speculative markets for XRP, so the leadership in volume is hardly surprising.

At the same time, XRP itself remains restrained: +2.76% for the day to $1.33 after a volatile week. The coin is squeezed between the 50-day and 200-day moving averages, and the market is closely watching this—as is usually the case when XRP starts leading in volume on Korean exchanges.
