Spot Bitcoin ETFs Record $232M Inflow in a Single Trading Session

The American market of spot exchange-traded funds tracking the price of the first cryptocurrency and Ether continues to attract significant volumes of capital from institutional participants. According to data from the analytical platform SoSoValue, Bitcoin funds collectively received $232 million in net inflows during the reporting session, marking the eighth consecutive trading day with a positive balance. A similar dynamic is observed in the Ethereum ETF segment, which received $192 million on August 26, also extending an eight-day streak of continuous inflows.

In the Bitcoin fund segment, BlackRock's IBIT product remains the undisputed leader in daily inflows, accumulating $201 million in a single session. Since its launch, this instrument has attracted a total of $63.121 billion in net investments, making it the largest Bitcoin ETF by accumulated capital. Second place went to Grayscale's Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF with a daily inflow of $46.83 million and a cumulative historical figure of $2.846 billion. Meanwhile, Grayscale's flagship product GBTC faced the opposite trend — outflows of $50.39 million in the session, bringing the total net outflow from this fund since its conversion to $27.578 billion.

The combined net asset value of all spot Bitcoin ETFs reached $98.629 billion, representing 6.26% of the total market capitalization of the first cryptocurrency. The historical cumulative inflow into this segment reached $54.590 billion, indicating the formation of sustained institutional demand for regulated instruments providing exposure to Bitcoin through traditional exchange infrastructure.

In the Ethereum fund segment, leadership also belongs to BlackRock's products. The ETHA instrument attracted $116 million during the session, bringing its historical cumulative inflow to $12.523 billion. Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust received $34.67 million, increasing its total accumulated capital to $1.897 billion. The combined net asset value of all spot Ethereum ETFs stands at $15.127 billion, equivalent to 5.07% of the market capitalization of the second-largest cryptocurrency. Total cumulative inflows into Ethereum funds reached $12.638 billion.

The ongoing eight-day streak of positive balances in both Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs reflects sustained high interest from institutional investors in regulated instruments for accessing cryptocurrency assets. The concentration of inflows into products from major issuers such as BlackRock reflects a trend toward preferring established platforms with developed asset management infrastructure and liquidity provision.
