Standard Chartered expects Arbitrum's profitability to surpass Bitcoin and Ethereum

Standard Chartered Bank predicts that Arbitrum could become one of the leaders in the digital asset sector by 2030. According to Jeff Kendrick, the bank's global head of digital asset research, the growth of tokenization and the transition of assets to blockchain will create new opportunities for the Arbitrum network. In particular, the bank expects Arbitrum to generate revenue of $5 million in September. This figure is more than five times the level achieved before the launch of Robinhood Chain in July.

Kendrick notes that under current conditions, Arbitrum is expected to see further growth, and the price of the ARB token could rise to $10 by 2030, implying an increase of about 70 times from the current price level of $0.14. He emphasizes that such economic changes are linked to the increasing volumes of tokenized assets, which have now grown to nearly $39 billion. According to Standard Chartered's forecasts, by the end of 2028, this figure could reach $4 trillion, as more banks and asset managers move their assets to blockchain.

However, Kendrick points out the most significant risks to his projected growth: the slow pace of asset tokenization and increasing competition from alternative blockchains. If these challenges are successfully overcome, Arbitrum could occupy a significant place in the decentralized finance ecosystem. Highlighting competitive advantages, Kendrick emphasizes that Arbitrum receives 10% of the net revenue generated by companies operating on the platform, which in the long term will not only support demand for its tokens but also strengthen its position among other popular digital assets.
