The Stellar network has set a new record for the total amount of funds locked in DeFi applications, reaching nearly $273 million. This record was recorded on October 2 and was made possible by increased user participation and growing investments in protocols based on this network. According to DeFiLlama, a week before reaching the current record, Stellar also recorded a TVL increase of about $265 million. This indicates a steady growth of investments in Stellar protocols, which also contributes to the increase in the value of its native token XLM. It is also important to note that Stellar is seeing an increase in activity on its network, which adds confidence in the project's future success.
In addition to the TVL record, Stellar has also noted a significant increase in its on-chain activity. Currently, the stablecoin capitalization in the Stellar network is approximately $934.54 million, and real-world assets (RWA) managed reach about $2.82 billion. These figures indicate a growing interest in the Stellar ecosystem from users and institutional investors, which continues to contribute to the expansion of the company's ecosystem.
Active Stellar addresses are approaching 100,000, which also indicates growing user engagement in the network. The DEX volume over the past 24 hours amounted to $3.38 million, confirming active client participation in the Stellar ecosystem. The increase in the number of active addresses is associated with several factors, including the launch of new DeFi applications and improved user experience, which additionally attracts new clients and retains old ones. Thus, Stellar continues to demonstrate impressive growth in the DeFi sector, allowing for expectations of further development and strengthening of the network's market position. The project's success may attract increasing attention from market participants, minimizing risks and offering convenient solutions for users, thereby creating favorable conditions for further growth and innovation implementation.
