SUN io conducted the 52nd round of SUN token burning

SUN io, the main DeFi infrastructure of the TRON network, conducted its 52nd round of SUN token buyback and burn on October 27, destroying over 7.23 million tokens. This marks the 52nd consecutive burn: since the first round on December 15, 2021, a total of 685,780,165.49 SUN has been burned – over $11 million in value, or about 3.44% of the total supply.
According to the announcement of the 52nd round for the period from July 25 to October 25, 2026, the platform burned 7,232,977.17 SUN. All buyback funds came from the revenue of three key SUN io directions: SunSwap V2 provided 388,023,868.41 SUN, SunPump – 285,879,914.81 SUN, SunX – 11,876,382.27 SUN. Thus, the growth of any direction directly supports the buyback and reduction of supply.
For transparency, SUN io launched a public buyback and burn program dashboard: it provides access to the program design, key metrics, funding sources, and records for each round with transaction hashes. According to the dashboard, another 7.1 million SUN are ready for burning.
SunSwap Integrations
The platform's flagship DEX is expanding its partnership program. SunSwap completed full technical integrations with the on-chain trading aggregator Ave ai, the multi-chain wallet TokenPocket, and the cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis. The partnerships cover three areas: aggregated trading entries, access through high-traffic wallets, and cross-chain liquidity routing.
As of October 26, SunSwap's TVL is approaching $645 million with more than 26,800 active liquidity pools. Over 14,000 transactions are processed daily, with an average daily trading volume exceeding $50 million.
Volumes and Incentives
According to DeFiLlama, in the third quarter of 2026, the total trading volume across all SUN io products approached $15 billion. The spot DEX contributed over $5 billion, and perpetual contracts accounted for about $9.7 billion, approximately 25% more than $7.75 billion in the second quarter.
In July, JustLend, together with projects from the TRON ecosystem and Binance Web3 Wallet, launched the TRON DeFi Summer campaign worth $4.5 million. Participants supplying liquidity to the special SUN pool on JustLend receive increased yields; the third season is currently underway with an APY in the SUN pool of up to 25%.
Going forward, SUN io plans to continue the buyback and burn program, directing revenue from ecosystem growth into the value of the SUN token, as well as expanding cross-platform integrations and the product line.
