Cardano blockchain founder Charles Hoskinson expressed the belief that the power of the first cryptocoin lay in the unknown identity of its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. In his opinion, the publication of the author’s name inevitably redirects the focus of critics from the technology itself to the figure of the developer, generating entire communities whose activity is reduced to personal attacks. Satoshi’s most insightful move is to consider voluntary withdrawal from public space immediately after the network was launched.

The businessman noted that most modern cryptoprojects lack such "anonymity privileges". He gave a personal example: "Cardano hates me because they don’t like me. But Cardano is protocol, the efforts of thousands of people and written code, not Charles Hoskinson. The entrepreneur believes that Satoshi calculated these risks in advance and deliberately distanced himself until the personality factor became an integral part of the network’s image.

If Nakamoto’s identity is revealed, according to Hoskinson, the enveloping Bitcoin "aura of mystery" that has a weighty significance for asset perception will disappear.
