In the US, an international money laundering network of up to $50 million a day through cryptocurrencies has been uncovered

American law enforcement has uncovered the international money laundering network Just Team, which processed up to $50 million in illegal funds daily. U.S. federal agents arrested Pavel Kulizhnikov in Florida on October 20, 2026, who is suspected of participating in this network. According to a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) informant, the organization used cryptocurrencies and bank transfers, served drug cartels, and helped circumvent sanctions against Russia. The network's activities spanned the U.S., Colombia, the UK, Spain, Belarus, the UAE, Australia, and Russia.

Kulizhnikov allegedly served as a cryptocurrency broker for the Just World Pro Crypto Team division. His duties included coordinating intermediaries and couriers who accepted large sums of cash and transferred money through bank accounts or cryptocurrency wallets. Law enforcement determined that the core of the organization consisted of about ten people. The commission for conducting operations ranged from 2% to 8% depending on the region. Participants coordinated operations through closed groups in Telegram, and a network of couriers in different countries was used for cash transfers.

From 2021 to 2026, agents conducted a series of undercover operations involving millions of dollars. Kulizhnikov is implicated in 11 controlled money transfers. Within the network, there was a mechanism for resolving financial disputes, with conflicts being reviewed by a group of 10-15 people. Kulizhnikov faces federal charges in the Eastern District of Virginia. The investigation is ongoing, and the guilt of the suspects has not been established.
