Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin published a detailed vision for the future of decentralized finance. He emphasized that DeFi remains the central value of the ecosystem, and financial autonomy a key element of freedom in today’s world.

According to Buterin, the industry needs to return to the spirit of early innovation, when fundamentally new models like automated marketers emerged, and focus on solving deep financial problems rather than improving existing tools.

The co-founder of Ethereum paid special attention to the security and resilience of protocols. He recalled the importance of a "walkaway test" - the system’s ability to function even if the development team disappears. Among the priority areas for development are formal verification using artificial intelligence, protection at the level of wallets, and solving oracles' problems. Buterin also advocated transaction privacy and open source as the basis of trust.
