XRP is planning a busy October with key events and updates. On October 3, 2026, the XRP Seoul event will be held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul as part of Korea Blockchain Week. The event will feature Ripple executives, including President Monica Long and SVP RippleX Marcus Infanger, as well as representatives from major Korean financial institutions.
According to Hussein Zangana, Director of Community Engagement at the XRP Ledger Foundation, the event will include sessions with Kyobo Securities, one of Korea's main brokers, Woori Bank, one of the country's four largest banks, and Kakao Bank, a leading internet bank associated with the popular Kakao platform. Discussion topics will focus on tokenization, crypto-based payments, and DeFi. “I am looking forward to the XRP Seoul event next week and sessions with Korean broker Kyobo Securities, Woori Bank (one of Korea's four largest banks), Kakao Bank (the largest internet bank of the well-known Kakao app), and many other participants. They are all actively involved in tokenization, crypto-based payments, and DeFi,” – noted Zangana.
In addition to Monica Long and Marcus Infanger, other key figures such as J.A. Akinyele, Head of Engineering at RippleX, Wenny Cai, CEO of Anchored Finance, Heejin Shin, Executive Director of Kyobo Securities, and Leo Lee, Manager of Kakao Bank, will also participate in the event. Discussions will focus on important aspects of XRP modification, including the activation of the Batch network and fixBatchV1_2, which are scheduled for October 9, 2026. The delegation rights update is expected to be launched on October 8, 2026, provided it receives support from over 80% during the two-week activation window. Additionally, the Swell event is expected to take place from October 27 to 29, 2026, marking a significant event for the XRP and Ripple ecosystem.
