Anthropic has announced a professional tool kit, Claude for Legal, aimed at lawyers and law firms. The solution is based on Claude Opus 4.7. The set includes 12 modules for various fields of practice (including commercial, corporate, labor law, intellectual property), over 20 connectors with legal infrastructure and integration with the Microsoft 365 office package (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Technology partners include Thomson Reuters (with the integration of CoCounsel Legal, Westlaw and Practical Law), as well as Harvey, Box, Everlaw, DocuSign, LexisNexis, and iManage. Lawyers are able to interact with Claude as a single assistant, switching between programs without losing context. At the BigLaw Bench, created by Harvey to test AI against practical legal challenges, the baseline model showed a 90.9% result.

The legal field has proven to be the most sought after in the Claude Cowork environment - usage rates here are more than three times higher than any other professional field. To make legal aid more accessible, Anthropic has signed agreements with Free Law Project and a number of other organizations.
