Apple Unveils Pokémon-Styled Speaker via Beats by Dre

Apple has announced Pokémon-themed speakers developed through the Beats by Dre brand. A six-second teaser shows a dark pill-shaped speaker surrounded by yellow lightning bolts and purple energy waves, reminiscent of the character Pikachu. The Beats brand has not disclosed the price, release date, or character name. The official Pokémon account responded to the teaser with an emoji. There are photos of a yellow box featuring Pikachu, but the final design has not yet been confirmed. The speaker announcement coincided with Pikachu's recent visit to Apple's headquarters, which sparked rumors among fans.

The visit, which took place in August 2026, generated significant interest and discussions among Pokémon fans. Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara was present at the meeting. As a result of the visit, speculations began about a possible collaboration between Apple and Pokémon, which is now materializing in a unique audio product. Apple acquired Beats in 2014 and uses joint releases to update older products, having previously released special editions with Nike and K-pop singer Jennie. The Pokémon speaker announcement will continue this approach, targeting the gaming audience as well.

The release date or price of the new speaker has not been announced yet, but teasers like this often serve to create market excitement before an official launch. Meanwhile, Pokémon is becoming an important financial phenomenon, as Pokémon cards have shown a 150% price increase since September 2021, according to the CardTrack 100 index. Such success of the cards attracts attention and creates opportunities for the development of Pokémon-related products. The Pokémon speaker may be the next step in this evolving story.
