Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, predicted that Ethereum (ETH) could reach $10,000 by the end of the year. Currently, Ethereum is trading above $2,500, but the $2,800 level represents a key obstacle for its growth. Following a decline in capital inflow into the spot Ethereum ETF, it is consolidating within a triangular pattern. Since September 18, Ethereum has attracted over $850 million in capital, despite a decrease in volume. However, in the last 24 hours, there has been an outflow of about $2.81 million. Although this amount is significantly lower than the weekly inflow, the weakening inflows have impacted the price of ETH.

On the charts, Ethereum is trading in a symmetrical triangle, and its price is close to the top of the figure. The period of low volatility may precede significant growth. If the price breaks below the lower resistance, it could lead to a decline to $2,550 or lower. At the same time, overcoming the upper resistance increases the chances of moving towards $10,000.

Speaking at the "KBW2026 with Upbit" event, Hayes noted that he is not worried about investing large sums due to potential exploits. He also pointed out that Ethereum is the safest Layer 1 network due to its market capitalization among altcoins. When asked why Ethereum is lagging behind so much, Hayes explained that it is due to other blockchains capturing interest, such as Solana, which puts Ethereum at a disadvantage despite its role as a pioneer in decentralized networks.
