Most Asian indices ended higher on Wednesday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 and South Korea's KOSPI reaching all-time highs of 58,319.0 points and 6,122.98 points, respectively. Tech stocks were the main drivers.

Investors are awaiting Nvidia's earnings release, which is seen as an indicator of global demand for AI solutions. Against this backdrop, chipmakers and automakers saw strong gains.

In Australia, the ASX 200 also hit a new high despite higher inflation data. Strong results from retailer Woolworths and a rise in mining companies contributed to the gains.

China's Shanghai Composite and CSI 300 indices continued to recover from the holidays, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng pared some of its recent losses thanks to a stabilization in the tech sector.
