American spot Bitcoin ETFs received $998.95 million in net inflow on Monday – the highest daily result in almost 11 months. The previous comparable volume was recorded on October 6, 2025, when funds received about $1.2 billion. The largest amount was attracted by IBIT from BlackRock – $381.4 million. Next were ARKB from Ark and 21Shares with $289.1 million and FBTC from Fidelity with $238.8 million. Positive dynamics were also observed in funds from Grayscale, Bitwise, and Morgan Stanley. Simultaneously, spot Ethereum ETFs received $269.98 million – the largest one-day inflow since October 7, 2025.
The growth in capital flows was accompanied by increased activity in the digital asset market. Bitcoin briefly rose to approximately $87,300 on Monday – the highest since January 2026, before correcting to $85,400 by Tuesday morning, adding 1.03% for the day. Ethereum rose by 2.5% and traded around $2,730. In the derivatives market, there was a significant reduction in positions: according to CoinGlass, $1.06 billion was liquidated in a day, with about $844 million in short positions.
"Although there is no single clear catalyst, it seems that this move reflects a combination of increased risk appetite, high demand for spot ETFs, and partial closing of short positions after Bitcoin broke through key technical levels," said Min Chong, a research fellow at Presto Research. "The unusually large inflow into ETFs on Monday likely provided momentum, signaling a resurgence of institutional demand," he added.
"Breaking the $85,000 mark indicates a broader reassessment of risks, supported by the resumption of institutional investing, activity in closing short positions, and a more favorable macroeconomic environment," said Dominic John, an analyst at Zeus Research. According to him, the sharp reduction in short positions further accelerated growth. John also noted that the positive funding level and increased open interest indicate a resumption of long positions, and traders are watching for BTC to hold above $85,000 and ETH above $2,700.
