Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced that its total crypto assets, cash, liquid securities, and other investments are now valued at $16.2 billion. Of this amount, the company owns 6.03 million ETH—approximately $15.34 billion at the stated price of $2,544 per ETH. This represents 4.9 percent of the total Ethereum circulation, bringing the company closer to its goal of 5 percent, which it calls Alchemy 5%.
Over the past week, Bitmine acquired an additional 12,532 ETH. In addition to accumulation, the company is actively staking Ethereum for passive income. According to the latest data, it has deployed about 5.07 million ETH worth $12.9 billion through its own MAVAN validator network and staking partners. At the stated annual yield of 2.61%, Bitmine estimates that fully staking its assets could generate around $400 million per year. However, staking yields may fluctuate, and staked ETH may face liquidity constraints.
The company also issued BMNP preferred shares with a declared annual dividend rate of 9.5 percent—another financing mechanism.
Chairman of the Board Tom Lee stated that Bitmine is well-positioned to get ahead of the anticipated bull market in cryptocurrencies, as the company has strengthened its competitive position over the past year amid the crypto winter. This statement came a few days after Lee predicted that ETH could reach $5,000 by the end of the year.
