BNB Chain: contract deployments nearly tripled in Q3

BNB Chain reported 12.3 million smart contract deployments in Q3, approximately 173% more than 4.5 million in Q2, according to a Blockworks report for token holders.

The number of unique addresses deploying contracts reached about 5,100 per day, an increase of 13%. Average active addresses decreased by 14% to 2.10 million, new addresses fell by 27% to 482,000 per day, but quarterly transactions rose by 7.5% to 1.51 billion. Predict fun processed 45.3 million transactions compared to 2.2 million in Q2, accounting for about 40% of the net increase. Token launches nearly tripled to 2.59 million: Flap – 2.02 million, Four.meme – 568,000. The report does not directly link these to AI agents and does not specify how many deployments are due to contract factories and automation.

BNB Agent Studio released four versions during the quarter: paid access to data via x402, agent earnings, TypeScript support, wallet control, and Turnkey policies with human approval for large transactions. By early October, 330,604 agents were registered on BNB Smart Chain under the ERC-8004 standard – about 61% of the 544,574 across all networks; registrations do not necessarily indicate functioning applications.

The quarter was financially defined by trading tokenized stocks: $25.6 billion compared to $2.4 billion, with $24.4 billion on DEX and $1.2 billion on Ondo Global Markets. Network revenue increased by 54% to $54.2 million: $49.1 million from fees and $5.1 million from MEV. Stablecoin supply decreased by 4.6% to $13.22 billion. The Pasteur upgrade on August 25 resulted in about 98% of blocks through the new system and 28% more gas per block.
