Cardano Foundation announced a multi-year partnership with the Venture Accelerator at UCLA Anderson School of Management aimed at advancing blockchain education. The partnership includes the implementation of blockchain courses, five scholarships for startups, and sponsorship of a founders' exhibition scheduled for 2027. Under this initiative, five startups participating in the UCLA Accelerate program will receive sponsored scholarships from Cardano. These fellowships will provide startups with funding, mentorship, and access to the Cardano community. Participating companies will be able to explore the possibility of creating products on the blockchain platform.
Nadia Mannell, Director of Commercialization and Ecosystem Growth at Cardano Foundation, notes that "the partnership will allow the foundation to work with founders through its Academy and Venture Hub in the process of developing companies on the Cardano platform." This collaboration will provide technical support, access to the ecosystem, and management guidance. Starting in 2027, materials from Cardano Academy will be used in the course "Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Applications in Business and Finance." The course will be taught by Alex Nasiomento, a UCLA graduate, who emphasized the importance of applying blockchain and AI in products and business models in his statement. A workshop covering blockchain and AI applications in business is also scheduled for October 19 as part of the partnership.
Cardano Foundation is also sponsoring the UCLA Draper Innovation Showcase, which will take place in 2027, adding educational sessions and opportunities for founders and students to meet. Such events will help students gain hands-on experience related to the implementation of blockchain and AI technologies, opening new opportunities for funding and mentorship within the UCLA Accelerate program.
