David Bailey, CEO of Nakamoto Holdings, suggests that artificial intelligence (AI) could become an unexpected catalyst for Bitcoin adoption. During a discussion organized by investment bank TD Cowen, he stated that the main issue hindering Bitcoin adoption is not the asset itself, but the interface. This interaction, which includes wallets, addresses, and private keys, keeps many users at a distance. Bailey believes that AI-based tools can solve this problem by abstracting complexity and simplifying the onboarding process for regular users and organizations.
Additionally, Bailey noted that institutional adoption of Bitcoin is in its early stages. Over the past year, spot ETFs, corporate treasury programs, and interest at the sovereign state level have emerged, significantly easing access to the asset. According to him, this transformation over the year has been more significant than all the time preceding it. Bailey is confident that the potential for institutional adoption is still significantly greater than what has already been realized. He insists that the need for simpler and more accessible tools is a decisive factor in expanding Bitcoin usage, which could make it more appealing to the masses.
When asked whether Bitcoin is changing traditional finance or vice versa, Bailey responded that the changes are moving towards Bitcoin. Institutions, states, and public companies are beginning to actively participate without altering the traditional rules of the asset. He emphasizes that the principles of Bitcoin itself continue to operate, and it is the traditional financial structures that must adapt to new conditions. Nakamoto Holdings, in turn, is already positioning itself as a comprehensive platform for Bitcoin, including media, conferences, education, and asset management, which strengthens their market presence and draws attention to new usage opportunities.
