Circle and Tereina to Integrate USDC and EURC into SAP Corporate Processes

On October 7, Circle and Tereina, supported by SAP, announced a partnership: the companies plan to integrate stablecoins USDC and EURC into Tereina's corporate payment infrastructure, starting with SAP Cloud ERP.

The goal is to enable finance teams to send and receive payments in stablecoins without switching to a separate cryptocurrency application. This is important because the work around payment—reconciliation, verification, supplier data, and accounting records—can cost more in restructuring than the transfer itself.

Circle provides digital currencies, while Tereina builds integration into existing business systems. According to the partners, their approach can connect traditional financial processes with blockchain settlements. However, this is a plan and work on product integration, not evidence that all SAP clients have already enabled stablecoin transfers.

For investors monitoring the commercial presence of USDC, the key metric is the actual business reuse rather than the stated potential reach. How many organizations will actually enable the feature? Which corridors and currencies will be operational? Will treasuries be able to reconcile each movement with the same confidence as a bank payment? The answers to these questions will show whether the solution becomes a useful corporate infrastructure or remains another well-presented pilot.
