CoreWeave Launches Data Center in Copenhagen and Expands Network to Seven Markets

CoreWeave, trading on Nasdaq under the ticker CRWV, announced on October 27, 2026, the launch of the majority of its planned IT capacity of 22.5 MW at the atNorth DEN01 data center in Copenhagen. This is the company's first operational site in Denmark; part of the capacity is yet to be commissioned.

The site operates NVIDIA Blackwell systems connected by NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand network technology. With Denmark, CoreWeave's European presence has reached nine data centers in five countries – the UK, Spain, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The Copenhagen site has an agreement for heat reuse: excess heat from the data center is directed into the city's district heating system.

Backbone network for 51+ data centers

The second part of the announcement may prove more significant in the long term: CoreWeave is expanding the backbone of its Global AI Network with new points of presence in seven markets – UAE, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, South Korea, and Japan. Deployment will begin at the end of Q4 2026, with full completion expected by mid-2027.

The goal is to connect more than 51 operational CoreWeave data centers into a single high-performance network. Collectively, these sites have over 1.5 GW of active capacity designed for AI tasks.

From mining to model training

CoreWeave has a cryptocurrency background that many of the company's current clients may not be aware of: it started with Ethereum mining and then fully transitioned its GPU resources to cloud services. The company went public on Nasdaq in March 2025.

Among its clients are nine out of the ten largest foundational model providers, meaning companies that create large AI models for chatbots and other tools.
