Launched on September 8, the Meta Muse AI agent has become one of the new factors analysts consider when evaluating the company's development in the field of consumer artificial intelligence. The service can perform multi-step actions on behalf of the user: sending emails, organizing trips, and conducting individual transactions, including car sales. Basic access is provided for free, while a subscription for extended use costs $20 per month, and the most intensive mode costs $100. According to Apptopia, in the first 12 days, the iOS and Android app, currently available only in the US and Canada, was downloaded 2.8 million times. Market interest is primarily related to the possibility of turning autonomous AI functions into a separate consumer service. JPMorgan noted the combination of a free tier, Meta's broad audience, and the ability to perform complex tasks with minimal human involvement as factors contributing to the product's spread. BofA Global Research also pointed to the positive user response to Muse's ability to independently go through sequences of actions and perform workflows. Some estimates suggest significant revenue potential with audience scaling: Jefferies calculated a scenario in which by the end of 2027, Muse would be used by 1 billion people, and 3% of the audience would choose the paid version. In this case, according to analysts' calculations, the service's annual revenue could amount to about $10.8 billion. This is a model scenario, not a forecast of actual financial results.
The change in expectations around consumer AI has already been reflected in Meta's market valuation. After the launch of Muse, the company's shares gained more than 20%, outpacing the 'Magnificent Seven' group of American tech companies during this period. Meta's capitalization increased by more than $200 billion, reaching its highest level in more than seven months at the close of trading. On Monday, Meta shares
