Infinity Gauntlet Replica with Real Stones Valued at $25 Million

A unique replica of the Infinity Gauntlet from the Marvel universe is set to be auctioned. The piece is valued at $25 million. The ornament is embedded with six genuine gemstones, each symbolizing one of the Infinity Stones from the films and comics. The piece was first presented to the public at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022. The project was executed by the New York-based company East Continental Gems in agreement with Marvel and Disney. This is the only piece of its kind created using authentic gemstones instead of decorative elements from screen props.

The idea emerged in 2019 when East Continental Gems' head Adam Mirzoeff saw a toy version of the gauntlet on the desk of a Marvel executive and proposed creating its jewelry replica. For the work, the company gained access to the layered design files of the cinematic prop. This allowed them to replicate the appearance of the gauntlet, replacing the original details with gemstones. The height of the piece is nearly 50 centimeters. The stones were selected so that each could become the central element of a separate necklace while still matching its image in the cinematic universe. According to the creators, the total weight of the six stones exceeds 170 carats.

The uniqueness of the collectible item also lies in the condition of the minerals used: all six stones remain unprocessed and without artificial enhancement. Such specimens are rare, as a significant portion of gemstones on the market undergo various procedures to alter their appearance. One of the gauntlet's elements, an emerald corresponding to the Time Stone, was found over a hundred years ago and was kept in East Continental Gems' collection for more than three decades. The company was long reluctant to sell it, but eventually allocated the mineral for this project. Now the ornament combines jewelry craftsmanship, rare natural stones, and a recognizable item from a popular franchise, with a stated valuation of $25 million.
