In the last 30 days, approximately 1.6 billion XRP have been transferred to the cryptocurrency exchange Binance from large holders' addresses. According to CryptoQuant, this is the highest volume of such transfers since March 2026. Whale activity began to recover after the summer decline: the lowest values were recorded in May, June, and July, and since August, volumes have gradually increased. In recent weeks, the growth rate has noticeably accelerated, resulting in a cumulative inflow over the month reaching a level that the market has not seen in about six months.
The increase in the amount of XRP on the exchange means that more coins have ended up in the infrastructure where they can be used for trading or liquidity operations. However, CryptoQuant separately notes that transferring assets to a centralized platform is not a direct sign of preparation for sale. Large holders may move coins between their own addresses, redistribute funds, or prepare them for trading operations. Therefore, it is more accurate to consider the dynamics of exchange inflows together with other indicators—net deposits, trading volumes, changes in reserves, and XRP price movements. If inflows and actual sales grow simultaneously, the pressure from the supply side becomes more noticeable; in the absence of such a connection, transfers may have a different purpose.
The current dynamics differ from the situation in July when CryptoQuant reported the lowest volume of XRP transfers by large holders to Binance in two months. At that time, other data indicated the activity of large wallets and a gradual recovery of interest in derivatives. As of the end of September, XRP ranks fifth among cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, which is about $84 billion, and the asset's price is around $1.33. There remains a separate interest from exchange-traded products: from August 24 to 28, spot XRP ETFs attracted $110.49 million, marking the highest weekly inflow in 2026. These indicators reflect different market segments and do not in themselves allow for a definitive conclusion about the further movement of XRP.
