NFT Limited has introduced its RWAIX verification protocol as open-source software and announced plans to test it on a live NFT transaction within 90 days. The protocol was published in a GitHub repository after completing 50 internal tests that revealed no failures.
NFT Limited plans to test the protocol on its existing NFT platform in the first quarter of 2027. The RWAIX protocol is designed to confirm purchase agreements, asset deliveries, payments, and dispute resolutions through records accessible to independent parties. The initial trial will be conducted through Metaverse Digital Payment Co., Limited, a fully Hong Kong-owned company.
The first attempt will involve a single NFT order covering a purchase agreement, delivery confirmation, independent verification, payment, and any potential disputes that may arise during the transaction process. Participants will be able to view records of what was agreed upon and verify whether each part of the transaction has been completed. The company's CEO, Yanying Wang, said: “We already operate a platform with clients, orders, and payments. With RWAIX, we aim to make this system verifiable and reliable for all participants.”
The development will proceed on a three-stage schedule over 90 days. During the first 30 days, the completion of the software environment and rights related to the artwork for the selected transaction is planned. From the 31st to the 60th day, developers will simulate orders, payments, and disputes to verify the entire transaction process. The final 30 days are reserved for a potential live order using actual client funds, provided the necessary security verification is completed.
The protocol, released under the MIT license, allows developers to independently access and test the source code. The GitHub repository hosts the core logical operations of the protocol, API documentation, and 50 automated tests. All 50 tests were successfully passed during the internal assessment; however, the results are not an independent security evaluation. NFT Limited has not announced the creation of RWAIX tokens, and cryptocurrency will not be used during the pilot, as all payments will be processed through existing banking channels.
