The XRP network recorded an all-time high in the number of active addresses – 8.24 million. Meanwhile, over the past 30 days, the asset's value has dropped by 17.21% to $1.31, with major holders and spot ETF investors acting differently. The quotes are holding slightly above the level that Santiment experts consider extremely important.
Santiment data shows that the number of holders is growing despite price volatility: 4,772 new wallets appeared in a day – the fifth-largest jump since March. The metric accounts for addresses, not users, so one person or exchange may control several wallets at once.
Meanwhile, major holders are transferring XRP to exchanges. According to analyst Darkfost, they sent $112.4 million worth of XRP to Binance – the highest in 7 months. Such transactions increase selling pressure.
Against this backdrop, spot ETFs on XRP appear more positive. According to SoSoValue, funds attracted $4.25 million this week after an outflow of $1.84 million the previous week, which interrupted a 13-week inflow streak. However, the recent increase is more modest than in September: over four weeks, the funds attracted $18.5 million, whereas in the week ending September 25 alone, the inflow was $75.6 million. With an almost zero net inflow, the total assets of the funds decreased following the XRP price – from $1.77 billion to $1.49 billion compared to data as of September 25.
The price of XRP has not yet reflected the growth in the number of wallets. The altcoin is trading at $1.31, having decreased by 2.59% in a day, which is just above $1.30 – one of the two levels monitored by Santiment.
